Passwords to Peace - Day 5

... with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Paul adds as part of our prayer time to be thankful, to have gratitude because he knows how powerful it is to pray with the expectation of God’s goodness and grace.

Thanksgiving is a great weapon against stress and worry. In using the incredible gift of thanksgiving, we remind ourselves of how truly good our Father is. In thanksgiving, we experience the joy of a proper perspective. Worry focuses on what might happen, while thanksgiving focuses on what did happen!

In and out of every season of life, we have a reason to give thanks because we serve a faithful, good, and loving God. Today, take the time to pray, giving thanks to God for all the things he has gotten you through, all the blessings you currently have and for the victories to come! Exchange your worry for his peace!
